Before the full-scale invasion, Serhiy was working, playing football, and planning for the future – he aspired to become a border guard.
With the onset of the full-scale invasion, Serhiy joined the Territorial Defense Battalion together with his father and defended their homeland. After the middle of March, their unit was disbanded. Serhiy’s father signed a contract with another unit, while Serhiy himself decided to aid in the humanitarian crisis that was unfolding in their region. In late summer 2022, he joined the CodeIT4Life team.
“It’s my civic stance: if I’m not fighting, then I should do whatever I can to make it more comfortable for our defenders and other people to live. As much as possible in such conditions.”
Serhiy’s main position is a driver, but he is always happy to help at the warehouse and in the headquarters.
“I hope that victory will come soon, and we will all live in new vibrant colors.”
