Мykhaylo is a talented chef who has worked in several top establishments in Kharkiv. Now, he actively helps civilians and the military. With the onset of the full-scale invasion, he decided not to leave and immediately started delivering humanitarian aid in Kharkiv.
“Why should I go somewhere? This is my city. And I helped my city and the people who stayed here in every way possible. I just have to do it – that’s all. It’s the right thing to do as a human being. This is my moral principle.”
Mykhailo initially worked with another foundation, and when it closed down, he was invited to join us. Mykhailo helps unload, distribute, and package humanitarian aid and delivers it to the civilian population. He is also responsible for ensuring that our volunteers are well-fed, with fresh products, and during the warm season, he organizes tasty barbecues.
Moreover, volunteering has helped Mykhailo see the world from a different perspective and transform himself.
