Combat medics are often the first to reach the wounded soldiers on the battlefield. Accurate and prompt medical assistance can save the most important thing – the lives of our servicemen.
In summer, we managed to hand over more than 500 units of tactical medicine and pharmaceuticals, as well as two full backpacks to combat medics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine, who serve in the regions of Kharkiv and Synkivka.
These soldiers serve on armored medical evacuation vehicles, in first aid facilities, and work as part of combat groups on the front line. The total amount of the provided aid is about640 000 UAH (~16 000 USD)! Among the provided items, in addition to equipped backpacks, there are certified tourniquets, Israeli bandages, occlusive stickers, solutions for infusions and injections, which contribute to the stabilization and treatment of the wounded soldiers. And also medicines that are most often used by servicemen in case of injuries.
The importance of tactical medicine on the frontline is as follows:
- the ability to provide quick and high-quality pre-medical assistance to the wounded soldiers;
- increase the number of saved lives, as it makes it possible to rescue men even in the most difficult conditions;
- contribute to increasing of the combat efficiency, because every soldier, performing their tasks, can be sure that their life and health are protected as much as possible;
- timely help to the wounded minimizes the consequences of injuries and helps speed up the recovery process
