On September 3rd, another safe space for children opened its doors in Derhachi. In conditions of war, anxiety and uncertainty, it is especially important to create places where children can develop, communicate with each other, learn, create, play and dream next to friends, adults while being in comfortable conditions.
The new room has everything needed for one’s full development. A separate learning area with modern desks and materials – for those who seek knowledge. A creative workshop – for those who want to attend drawing, sewing toys, felting wool or other clubs. The work of the clubs is provided by community educators, so children will be able to develop their talents under the guidance of experienced specialists.
Cooperation that builds for the future
In a front-line city, where about 1750 children live, it is very important to create new opportunities for their development. The opening of the safe space is the result of our cooperation with local authorities. The community took on the renovation of the premises and provided the conditions for work of the teachers. And the Foundation joined the renovation and equipped the space with everything necessary.
Together we are returning a sense of stability, support and security to children. We sincerely believe that each of these spaces is a step towards great changes.
We are grateful for everyone who joined the project!
