In the safe children’s spaces of the de-occupied Kharkiv region, our foundation has implemented two joint projects with the ONUKY foundation – “Book Hideout” and “Sensory”.
Within the “Book Hideout” project, not only shelves, but whole small libraries with wonderful works of classical and modern Ukrainian writers appeared in two rooms of Derhachi regions and in Savyntsi’s children’s space. In addition, on the shelves of these libraries you can find fairy tales, comic books and teenage novels by foreign authors in Ukrainian translation.
Also, sensory toys were given to children’s rooms in Derhachi and Bezruky. They are very important for working with the child’s basic sensory systems, because they contribute to psycho-emotional relief. They are used by teachers, psychologists and correction specialists. And now they are available in our children’s spaces!
