The phase of evacuating the wounded from the “red” zone is one of the most dangerous in the entire chain, where there is a high risk of fire or explosion. It is here that evacuation teams are exposed to the greatest risk: under artillery fire and the constant threat of FPV drones. Because of this, evacuation is often delayed or becomes impossible altogether. And while evacuation teams are forced to wait for a safe moment, the wounded person loses their chance of life.
We want to change this.
GRC — it is about a chance for life.
GRC – a remotely controlled platform capable of reaching places dangerous for people. This is an electric machine with crawler or wheeled track, capable of transporting a wounded person on a special stretcher or delivering medical equipment to hard-to-reach areas. This complex is capable of withstanding a weight of up to 500 kg and works in any weather and landscape conditions.
The goal of the project – to transfer 10 ground robotic complexes for 10 combat units by 24.08.2025.
The total cost of the project is 4 million UAH (~97000 USD)
The project implementation lasted for 10 weeks. The Charitable Foundation “Daruj Dobro” provided its part of 2 million UAH. Our part was also 2 million UAH from which 570,000 UAH (~13800 USD) was collected in Ukraine, and 630,000 UAH (~15200) – in Europe and America. The cost of two complexes of 800,000 UAH (~19400 USD) was covered by the foundation.
All GRCs were purchased from domestic manufacturers, thanks to which all the money spent on the project remained in the country and will contribute to the development of Ukrainian technologies. Ground complexes were selected according to the requests of the units, their work experience and our budget. From the CODEIT4LIFE UKRAINE side GRCs were given to the following units:
To the platoon of logistics and evacuation systems of the 2nd mech battalion of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade – “Targan 200”
Company of strike unmanned aerial systems “Vershnyky” of the 112th separate territorial defense brigade – “Targan 200”
Company of strike unmanned aerial systems “Striks” – “Bender”
